I. shall do a sharing. (:

i don't know about you guys, but i like to listen to songs while i read stuff. hahaha.

ANYWAY, back to my sharing. -clears throat-

so. yesterday i was going through some stress of things and all. Was unhappy about some stuff and i was rather mad. like on the edge of flaring at any possible thing, venting my frustrations at anyone.

I'm sure they would call it the teenage angst. Perhaps, coupled with how strongly i feel about particular things. and hence. the inner storm brewed.

But i didn't snap. Inside was a tornado of angry thoughts and worries and frustrations whipping up and hitting against the walls of my head, but then two songs seeped into the potential calamity.

One of which, was:
Who am I, by Casting Crowns.

And then I felt much better.

Not a gradual calming down, but like this blanket of peace just wholly setting on me, and I felt at peace. Shalom.

It is like a mini-scaled Pandora's box opening, spilling out all its nasty contents, and yet ultimately, you find hope. admidst the storm, you find shelter.

and I thank God for His ever-present nature. (:

This song is written in a way to encourage fellow Christians in their lives. First of all, this part struck me: "be strong in the lord, never give up hope. You're gonna do great things I already know. God's got his hand on you, so don't live life in fear. Forgive and forget but don't forget why we are here." God has chosen us to be his disciples to serve him in many different ways. When we feel incapable, we must always be reminded that he is in control. A creator of the world having his hands on us. trust in the lord and we will find joy in being the Forces Of Christ. The sermon 2 weeks ago talked about Peter who feared to declare his religion thrice turning into someone who was greatly used by god. I'm sure he would have sang the same thing to us if he is still on earth. Forgive and forget the people who despise you for being "different" when you set a good christian example; because we must not forget why we are here in this school or in this workplace. Enjoy=)

*the importance of personal conduct.
*pay attention to our own spiritual life and to solid doctrine(something that is taught), and we would be a godly example to the church family.
*Let’s live our lives in such a way that those who follow our example will help others in their walk with God.

A good example has more value than good advice.

"Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs—he wants to please his commanding officer." (2 Timothy 2:3-4)

I decided to post these short verses up because they have direct significance to us. We're Force of Christ aye, arent we? :)

We-ll, the verses basically can be seen to bring about 2 messages. Firstly, being a good soldier of God requires us to endure hardships. i kinda thought about those people whom fought selflessly for democracy in Bodyguards and Assassins. There was passion in their eyes, strength right from their hearts, and when they saw only of the bigger picture, they fought for all they can.

Did they get killed for doing so? yes.
Yet, did that mean that the opposing force was stronger?

Thankfully, not only can we build up the passion in us to fight for Christ, we can pray for courage and strength from Him. yes, right from Him. :)

Also, our ultimate goal is to please God. many times we fail to do so, perhaps to this element we call peer pressure. Do the right thing, and we might have to sacrifice a friendship. i dunno, for it that kinda makes me feel deflated. but am still learning to let go, to let God take control. let's all learn together, yeah? :)

Daily Bread: always with you

Yes! This is the day! This is the day! its been sooo long since our blog has ever been updated(psps). I'm here to clear the cobwebs that are accumulated here. Ok, just wanna share about what I "de zao" from 2nd jan of daily bread. It starts off with a driver thinking at the final part of his driving (which is the easiest), he felt that he did not need god (and obviously he screwed up). After my A lvls period, I had the same feeling as the driver. God, I can take over this period of time. I'm thankful that u took me through my A's! God has been kind to me. Yes i must remember that I should share my problems and also my enjoyment with him! Since in heb 13:5 he said that " I am with you and will keep you wherever you go" , there is no reason why we should not do the same. School's starting soon for most of the ppl (not for me though=) ). New class? New friends? New homework? New jobs? For everything we do, ask for his guidance, thank him. Do not wait till you feel you need him then you get close to him and call for him. He is more than just a SOS hotline=) Once again, this is the day! This is the day! It's a good start.

City Slickers!

This Saturday's Details are as follow:

Meet at City Hall MRT at 930am! (pls be punctual!)

Dress code: Wear something comfortable (shirt and bermudas, presentable! plus preferably sport shoes or comfortable sandals cause need to walk quite a bit) Preferably light coloured clothing and not black! You wouldnt to absorb the heat on that day.

No need to bring extra clothes and top up your ez link to 10 dollars anymore! Just enough to take you to city hall and back home! (well maybe a few extra dollars will be good heh)

MUST BRING WATER BOTTLE AND HAVE A HEAVY BREAKFAST ON THAT DAY! Wouldnt want anyone fainting on that day. You may want to bring a cap, it may be hot or an umbrella would be ok (it may come in handy during a shower).

We will brief yall on the game rules on that day itself. Pls have plenty of rest the day before as well. You wouldnt want to miss a tour around the city :) See you and study hard people!

Just wanna share this 'story' where I've read it quite long ago,
and found it once again as I was packing my stuffs.

A Simple Gesture

Mark was walking home from school one day,
when he noticed the boy ahead of him had tripped,
and dropped all of the books he was carrying,
along with two sweaters, a baseball bat, a glove and a small tape recorder.
Mark knelt down and helped the boy pick up the scattered articles.
Since they were going the same way,
he helped to carry part of the burden.
As they walked Mark discovered the boy's name was Bill,
that he loved video games, baseball and history,
and that he was having lots of trouble with his other subjects
and that he had just broken up with his girlfriend.
They arrived at Bill's home first and Mark was invited in for a Coke
and to watch some television.
The afternoon passed pleasantly with a few laughs and some shared small talk,
then Mark went home.
They continued to see each other around school,
had lunch together once or twice,
then both graduated from junior high school.
They ended up in the same high school where they had brief contacts over the years.
Finally the long awaited senior year came and three weeks before graduation,
Bill asked Mark if they could talk.

Bill reminded him of the day years ago when they had first met.
"Did you ever wonder why I was carrying so many things home that day?" asked Bill.
"You see, I cleaned out my locker
because I didn't want to leave a mess for anyone else.
I had stored away some of my mothers sleeping pills
and I was going home to commit suicide.
But after we spent some time together talking and laughing,
I realized that if I had killed myself,
I would have missed that time and so many others that might follow.
So you see, Mark,
when you picked up those books that day,
you did a lot more,
you saved my life."

I'm sure many of you have read this story before.
I'm pretty sure it aint your first time reading it.
But how many of you have really reflected upon this story? :D
Well, a smalll gesture is significant in its own way!

Just wanna come and share a little of what I've learnt during Sunday School on Sunday. (:

Think about this this week as you're going through it.

Have you shown ingratitude to the Lord?

Ingratitude can mean forgetting to thank God,

or not thanking God for any blessing or answered prayer.

Have you been neglecting the Word of the Lord?

How many days have you not read the Bible?

Do you remember what you've read about?

Did you have any unbelief in the Lord?

Is there any promise in your life that God has given you that you doubt will be fulfilled?

Did you doubt that He's willing to forgive you for any and all of your sin?

Do you experience prayerlessness in your life?

Do you pray for the sake of praying?

Do you pray without fervent or focused faith?

Have you shown concern for the lost in your life?

Who do you know of who has never received Jesus as Saviour?

Have you shared the gospel with that person?

Are you showing hypocrisy in your life?

By pretending to be someone you're not?

Be it in character, or spiritually?

Have you been prideful?

Are you impressed with your own reputation and accomplishments?

Have you been neglecting your family?

What have you truly sacrificed for their spititual, physical and emotional well-being?

Have you been neglecting God's family?

Have you failed to reach out to comeone in church who has fallen into sin or disgrace?

Have you been envious of someone?

Feeling jealous of someone who seems more gifted, fruitful or recognizable than you?

Do you have a critical spirit?

When have you dounf fault with someone because they don't measure up to your standard?

Have you been lying?

Made a state or triend to make an inference that was contrary to the truth?

Have you been robbing God?

How have you been spending your time, money and energy?

On selfish goals? or on God?

Really do think through about it.

If you feel guilty, like me, do start repenting now.

confess to the Lord, and start anew! :D

Let's all do this together, shall we?

Let's all live a life to glorify God, a life to testify God's glory.

hello everyone! probably have heard of this several times, but i'll place it here for recap and for those who've missed the times this camp was mentioned. :)

LiFEgame is a creative simulation game of life that seeks to provide an environment for participants to discover God's purposes for their lives in this world. A "make-believe" world (a city) is set up in a camp or retreat environment where participants are given the opportunity to live out their whole lives however they wish. Starting at age 15, they begin to pursue their dream, get an education, find a job, buy their first car, purchase a house, get married, raise a family, and climb the ladder of success. Every hour they will age 5 years and they have to take care of their personal needs like food, clothing, health, etc. Like in real-life they may face health problems, accidents, fines, or even death as a result. No one knows how long they will live. Some might die prematurely while others may retire at a ripe old age before they meet their creator face to face.LiFEgame is about living life and that's where the reality of the real world sets in. Eventually each participant question, "What's the point of life?" and that, is the whole point of the LiFEgame -an opportunity to discover God's purpose for living. Coupled with PurposeDriven Life workshops, small-group discussions, dramas, mimes, songs, videos, & messages, the LiFEgame challenges participants to make a commitment to Christ. On average, about 80% of the participants made one of these life-changing decisions. As of December 2007, some 32 LiFEgame camps have been conducted, impacting more than 6,000 lives for Christ ranging from youths to retirees. Are you ready for the impact?

HEY people! CAC will be having a combined event on 14 march (saturday) 2-8pm! It's called EARTHWIRED! It will be held in Sengkang. We will have games, dinner, and praise and worship and of course a chance to interact with fellow brothers and sisters from other cac churches :) It will be something like CONNECT camp, but just a one-day event. It will be great if you could make it and take a look at how other churches have their fellowship! :) those interested, pls tell your grp leaders! Love: A Paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 13

If I talk a lot about God and the Bible and the Church, but I fail to ask about your needs and then help you, I'm simply making a lot of empty religious noise.

If I graduate from theological seminary and know all the answers to questions you'll never even think of asking, and if I have all the degrees to prove it and if I say I believe in God with all my heart, and soul and strength, and claim to have incredible answers to my prayers to show it, but I fail to take the time to find out where you're at and what makes you laugh and why you cry, I'm nothing.

If I sell an extra car and some of my books to raise money for some poor starving kids somewhere, and if I give my life for God's service and burn out after pouring everything I have into the work, but do it all without ever once thinking about the people, the real hurting people-the moms and dads and sons and daughters and orphans and widows and the lonely and hurting-if I pour my life into the Kingdom but forget to make it relevant to those here on earth, my energy is wasted, and so is my life.

Here is what love is like--genuine love. God's kind of love. It's patient. It can wait. It helps others, even if they never find out who did it. Love doesn't look for greener pastures or dream of how things could be better if I just got rid of all my current commitments. Love doesn't boast. It doesn't try to build itself up to be something it isn't. Love doesn't act in a loose, immoral way. It doesn't seek to take, but it willingly gives. Love doesn't lose its cool. It doesn't turn on and off. Love doesn't think about how bad the other person is, and certainly doesn't think of how it could get back at someone. Love is grieved deeply (as God is) over the evil in this world, but it rejoices over truth.

Love comes and sits with you when you're feeling down and finds out what is wrong. It empathizes with you and believes in you. Love knows you'll come through just as God planned, and love sticks right beside you all the way. Love doesn't give up, or quit, or diminish or go home. Love keeps on keeping on, even when everything goes wrong and the feelings leave and the other person doesn't seem as special anymore. Love succeeds 100 percent of the time. That, my friend, is what real love is!

It's here! 31st December 2008 is here! And in 13 hours, it'll be 1st of January 2009! Aren't you excited? For a brand new start with things next year! And also for having a great relationship with God in the coming year? (: Hahahah! (:

And since it's the last day of 2008, I hope you guys will really reflect on how much God has guided you through this year, and how much God loves you, and all that! (: With that, I'll share just a little, xD

This year, 2008, has a lot of ups and downs for me, be in it in school, church, or my club or whatsoever~ Well, my school. I've had a friend for 4 years. Well, you can even say we're like the bestest friends or so lah huh, we tell each other almost everything under the sun. However, recently, I found out something hypocritical of her... She was a liar. One who lied about every thing! I don't know what are the things that she's said that are true, and vice versa. I found out that my trust has been misplaced. This incident brought me lots of 'damage'. In my spiritual life, in my social life, and in my committments. In my spiritual life, I drifted away from God, as I couldn't concentrate on reading His Word, all I could think of was my friend lying to me for 4 years. :/ Which is bad, I should have relied on Him more. In my social life, I didn't dare to tell any more things to people in my school, I kinda kept a distance from them, and only talked to them about really superficial stuffs, and when they asked me things, I'll just change the topic. My committments, it's affected me really badly. I couldn't do what I was supposed to do, as a group leader, as I weren't able to concentrate. :/ But oh well, here's the main point, God sent human 'angel's to help me, to encourage me with His word and with his/her experience to pull me through this. (: I really thank God for them! (:

Just wanna tell you that when things happen, God will always be there for you! Even when you think he's not! (: He'll always be there, and He'll send human 'angel's to help you along the way, just like what He ahs done, for me! (: And continue to read His Word even when things go bad! (: It's helpful! And don't forget to pray about it! (: All right. Well, people in TQ will always be here for you when things go bad! (: They will! (:

How should a Christian view sports?

The Bible doesn’t specifically address participation in sporting events. While it is true that we are ordered to be separate from the world (John 17:14-15), it is also true that we have to live in the world (1 Corinthians 5:10). As Christians, we have to work (and play) daily with those who are unsaved. No matter what part (or position) we play in life, we are to be witnesses for Christ (1 Peter 3:15). We are to be examples of Christ for all to see (Matthew 5:14-16). We should take every opportunity to show others just what Christianity is all about. We should always keep our conduct above reproach.

If a Christian athlete is really praying and seeking a way to share Christ with others, God will provide ample opportunities. It could be sharing Jesus or praying with teammates. Basically, it all boils down to this: whatever you do, whatever sport you play; do it for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).

The only caution to be given to a believer who is playing sports—or is a fan of sports—is to not allow sports to become an idol (1 John 5:21). Never allow sports to become more important to you than your relationship with God. It is fine to be interested in sports, to be knowledgeable about sports, to be a fan of a certain team. The problem is that there are far too many people who can name all of the NFL teams, but cannot name the books of the New Testament. There are far too many people who will spend hours playing and/or watching sports each day, but do not spend more than a few minutes a day praying or reading the Bible. Clearly, this is not pleasing to God. Our priorities in life should be ordered in such a way that they honor and glorify Him.

Many a times, when we do our quiet time, how many of us have our thoughts forcus on God? well. some of you who find it hard to do quiet time can pray before your start your quiet time. Cause it is just easier to do that :)

well the sharing from me today is this. some of you may have seen it in my blog but not all so i will post it here.

Story.
A man carrying a cross was strolling about. There he met Jesus. He complained "Jesus my cross is really heavy. I cannot carry it any longer."
"Come with me" said Jesus.

Jesus brought him to a storage full of crosses. Some are big. Some are small. Some are wide. Some are thin. Some have thorns. Some are smooth. After pacing around in the room, he noticed in one corner that there is a small cross there. "I want that one Jesus" "but that is the cross that you brought in my son... "

Some heard this story before, but do you know that there is another version to it?
.... "Come with me" said Jesus.

They came to this garden that is filled with trees and is beautiful in all ways. At a clearing, the man noticed that there is a cloth on the floor. "Put down the cross and have lunch with me” said Jesus smiling. The man had lunch with Jesus. There they talked and talked. Finally, when the man is fully rested, Jesus said “my son, are you ready to take up your cross again?" "But it is heavy and tough" complained the man “you are free to join me for lunch anytime when you are too tired from carrying it" said Jesus smiling...

Both the story has different meaning to it. Even when trials seemed impossible to bear, even when you feel that people around you are better off, God gave you the cross that you can bare. He don't give you something knowing you cannot cope with it...
the second story tells us that. In God we find refuge. He is willing to take us with wide arms open. But are we willing to go to him and rest? Are we willing to stop and talk to him? Stop and rest. Find a place where you really talk to God. Do not hide you thoughts from him. Open up to him. Tell him everything. For he is our Heavenly Father.

Fresh Grace Every Day

34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
“I am concerned about the assignment/project that I have to submit tomorrow.” “I am worried about tomorrow’s tests.” “My exams results will be out tomorrow. I am afraid it won’t be good.”
God does not want you to worry about tomorrow. He wants you to know that He gives you all the help you need for today, and when tomorrow comes, so will fresh help from Him.
This is God’s principle even in the Old Testament. When the children of Israel were in the desert, God gave them fresh manna from heaven every morning. (Exodus 16:13–16, 31) They did not have to worry about tomorrow because when tomorrow came, there was fresh manna again. He was their provision every day.
Today, God’s manna is the grace He gives you every day. If you are worried about a situation tomorrow, know that there will be sufficient grace for that situation when it comes. God wants you to simply rest in His ability to heal, deliver, protect and provide for you every day.
In the Old Testament, when the armies of Moab and Ammon came against King Jehoshaphat, God told the anxious king, “Do not be afraid nor dismayed… for the battle is not yours, but God’s… You will not need to fight in this battle… stand still and see the salvation of the Lord…” (2 Chronicles 20:15–17)
When the next morning came, King Jehoshaphat saw how God caused such confusion to come upon his enemies’ camp that it brought about their own slaughter. Amid all that fighting in the enemy camp, God’s people merely stood still and saw Him fight the battle for them just as He had promised.
My friend, when you see a problem looming in your tomorrow, don’t be afraid or dismayed. Look to the Lord, and see His grace and salvation deliver you.
God wants you to live a stress-free life, not one filled with worries about tomorrow’s problems. When tomorrow comes, His grace will be there for you as your help, protection, favor and enabling!

Hi :). This week has been a rather busy week for me (projects school work and homework :s)I do not really have any special things to write out. So I will share about my quiet time.. Bible reading this week. One part of a bible story leaves behind fond memories (so I am sharing it now)

I have read in John 10 about the parable of the good shepherd. Here, Jesus tells us that"The sheep hears his voice and he calls his own sheep by name... I am the good shepherd; and I know my sheep" (John10:3-14). Very often I forget that God thinks about me all the time and I failed to remember God in many activities I do. This would be my learning point.

HEY YALL, second time i am here! hahah. how have all of you beeeen! it's july already, and i hope yall are still coping well with your studies! for me, it has been a roller coaster rideeee. from entering into JC, to serving in church, trying to juggle between these two aint easy. i'm sure those who are serving will know. butbutbut, this is not to discourage yall to serve!! but to take up the 'challenge'! through serving, i've not only know more about my bro and sis-in Christ, but i've also experienced the joy in serving. i dont know, but it's just amazing, how sometimes (most of times i am willing k :B) i will feel reluctant and tired, but i will still go ahead and do it, and through it, i learnt and i like the feeling of joy. for eg, worship practices which are at night. yknow, after a long day in sch, ya just want to sleep and not get of the house, but after the practice, everything feels like it's all worth it; the fellowship, the joy.. really! and of cos, serving the Lord's what we should do! to show how much we love Him! like how He has loved us (: yes, you may get discouraged at times or you may think that you're too young to serve, BUT NO, remember our God's AWESOME and ALMIGHTY, He will strengthen us when we're weak, so why be afraid/doubtful to take the first step? Moreover, there are so many bro and sis to support and encourage you! so if you're dying to serve (after my inspirational speech, heh), you can always find meeee! there are posts for you to serve in! for those who are already serving, perserve okay! not easy but JIAYOU (: YEAH!

Qinyi part 2

Okay. This is a continuation of my sharing. On 9th July, i went to Alexandra hospital for my check-up because of my ankle , which i injured during teen games. I was really scared, really scared that i won't be able to play sports anymore. For the whole of June, I prayed and prayed and prayed. And the results were out. My ligament ALMOST tear. Thank God for that. Cause if my ligament is torn, I'll have to go for operation and i might not be able to play sports anymore. And so, i really thank God for his healing hand upon me. And since it's almost torn, I'm not able to exercise for 3 months=( And here, I also wanna thank those who cared about my ankle/injuries and also those who prayed for me, and you should know who you are =) But special thanks to our friendly , helpful and caring gan shis!! =)Anything, go find them, they'll be more than willing to help=)

Anyways, i do have some prayer requests which will last for really long=)

1. Spiritual growth: to ALWAYS be thirsty for his word and be a testimony of him to others

2. TQ: that we'll ALWAYS show care and concern for each other.

3. personal: i) studies- Pray for good time management. ii) peace of mind- I've got ALOT of things on my mind right now:/ iii) health- been getting sick iv) injuries- will recover FAST =)

Okay i'm the SECOND person to write. Feeling really honored. Okay. Lets start=)

I, myself, have gone through ups and downs. For example,right now. It's dark
period for me. Things seem to be going haywire:/ And everything seem to be crashing
down on me. But thank God for a friend of mine. She was always there and reminded
me that problems are here to draw you closer to God=) For me, i've got 37 more days
to my prelims' and i'm really scared for i've been unable to concentrate. I'll pray
for peace at mind and i can feel him comforting me=) And it's great=) And now, i'll

Hello =)

I went home and thought about today’s captain’s ball event. Many thoughts just came to my mind when I thought of today’s event. It kinda started out with many guilty thoughts. Coz I was a bit unhappy a few times during the event. So if anybody happens to talk to me when I was unhappy and I unintentionally SEEMED pissed, I just wanna say I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it. I wasn’t unhappy about you! REALLY! =)

Next, I realized how amazing God led me through this whole event:
-2 months ago, when I was having my attachment, I was tasked to do some games organizing; thus, I had gained experience in running this kind of events during the attachment. God had used that attachment time to allow me to gain experience on how to organize games. Thus, when I was planning this event, everything wasn’t very difficult.
- There were dao shis to prompt me on the things that I left out in planning.
On Friday (20/6/08)
- He provided a friend to help me out with the fixtures, it’s not as easy as it seems! But thank God we manage to do it =)
- He provided me with more than enough helpers to help me carry the drinks, shift the things and tape the line of the court though it was late at night.
On Saturday (21/6/08)
- In the morning, He gave me enough helpers to set up the place.
- He gave good weather so that everyone can enjoy the game!
- He allowed the timothy people to come and join us in the game so that each team can have a blocker each!
- He provided people to talk to the new friends =)
- When we are short of people, He gave me people who willingly offered their service to me. =D
- He also allowed people to help in the event when I approached them for help =)
- There wasn’t any injury! =D

There’s just so much to thank God for! =D It’s really very amazing how God provides for EVERYTHING in just this small event. I can plan for all I want, the timing, groupings, fixtures, people to help out, etc, BUT, things might just don’t go my way. And only God has the master plan and only He knows everything. Therefore, it reminded me again that I should always rely on God and He’ll do the rest for me =)

And I thank YOU for helping out in the event in one way or another! Though what you did might not be recognized, God had seen it and will definitely reward you for it! =)

Hello.

This FOC blog has been collecting some dust recently. Here to clean up with an entry by the ke ai de tingting!! Everybody say, ‘YEAH!!!’ (NOT eeeeeeeeeeee!) haha x) Anyway, I just returned from a team manager’s briefing for a captain’s ball competition. In case some of you don’t know what I’m talking about… some youths are joining a captain’s ball competition called Teengames, organized by Singapore Youth for Christ. It will be held on the 4th (wed) and 6th (fri) of June from 1pm to 6pm at Tampines Sports Hall. Do come and support us!!!

Singapore Youth for Christ also organized other games like pool, soccer, rock climbing, badminton, basketball etc. The main aim of organizing these games is to allow Christians to have a platform to evangelize. The program includes a very short praise and worship, icebreaker, sharing by pastor, sharing among ourselves and of course the captain’s ball game.

I have to admit that my initial idea of joining this cap’s ball was to go win some games and if lucky enough win top 3 or something like that =) and since we’re not having captain’s ball competition this year, why not join this? Yeap, weeks later, I realized that, hey! I should ask people to invite their friends to join us and play so that we can leverage on the event and spread the gospel. Yeap, so NOW, my objective (I hope is yours too) of joining this event is to build a relationship with the pre-believers and then have follow-up actions after that.

We are having 2 teams, one male and one female team (it is not the normal mix team that we play in CAC). For the male team, we’re having 1 new friend he’s called Koon Heng (Yuchuan’s cousin). And for female team, we’re having 2 new friends, Cheng Yi and Hui Xian (both are Agnes’ JC friends). Thank God that we have new friends to start with =) if not, who are we to spread the gospel to? =) But how do you spread the gospel to them when you don’t know them??

During the briefing today, someone shared this, Christians read the bible and people read the Christians. How true. So I urge all of us to play captain’s ball like CHRISTIANS or should I say Force of Christ! And for the supporters, support like how a Force of Christ should support =) To me, a Force of Christ should also clap for the opponents when they score, don’t curse and swear at the referees when they didn’t blow correctly, be nice and make friends with the opponents etc etc but most importantly, put God above us. Don’t let our emotions control us. Show our new friends and the other churches and those churches’ new friends how a REAL Christian should be like =) Like them see God’s image in us =) that’s a way to spread the gospel indirectly =) though it is indirect, it is VERY POWERFUL as they will be able to see the difference between believers and non-believers.

Take this chance to interact with the new friends, and be a Force of Christ for ALL to see. X)
P.S. Pray for everyone’s heart and actions to be a FOC and for the hearts for the new friends, pray that they won’t have negative feelings about the sharing and that they’ll accept Christ!!

This week has been a VERY busy week for me as I’m busy with my work, which is my attachment. So busy that I kinda neglected God. Felt bad. Only did 2 days of my disciple hmwk for this week =( Bad tingting, no time management. James 5:16 says that ‘Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, and you may be healed.

I thank God that he’s not a petty and mean God where if I didn’t 亲近Him, He’ll not bless me or just drop me to hell (God CAN actually do it). NO! He’s not this kind of God!!! He’s a merciful and good God! But we have to remember that we cannot take His mercy and grace for granted. =) No time liao, need to sleep, have to wake up at 5 plus tml!!!! But here’s a question to ponder about since I talk about grace:

Grace was offered BEFORE man was created. So why would God offer grace BEFORE we needed it? =)

Are you PREPARED for eternity?

Had mentoring about a week ago with my mentor, currently we’re going through Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. Guess most of you know this book. Anyway, that day’s topic for our mentoring was chapter 4: Made to Last Forever. Not a catchy title, but had no choice so I read through that chapter to prepare for that day’s mentoring.

I thank God that I didn’t skip that chapter. Because what is written inside is a very IMPORTANT reminder for me, and I think it’s a very important reminder for you too. So I wanna share with you guys (can’t be so selfish to keep this reminder all by myself!). Here goes:

From the book – Life on earth is JUST the dress rehearsal before the real production. You spend far more time on the other side of death – in eternity – than you will here. Earth is the staging area, the preschool, the tryout for your life in eternity. It is the practice workout before the actual game, the warm up before the race begins. This life is preparation for the next.

At most, you will live to a hundred years on earth, but you will spend FOREVER (remember that forever = NEVER ending) in ETERNITY.

While life on earth offers many choices, eternity offers only 2: heaven or hell. Your relationship to God on earth will determine your relationship to him in eternity. When you fully comprehend that there is more to life than just here and now, and you realize that life is just a preparation for eternity, you will begin to live differently. You will start living in light of eternity, and that will colour how you handle every relationship, task, and circumstance. Suddenly many activities, goals, and even problems that seemed so important will appear trivial, petty, and unworthy of your attention. The closer you live to God, the smaller everything else appears. (How true =))

IF our time on earth were all there is to life, we could indulged ourselves in total self-centeredness because our actions will have no long-term repercussions. BUT (this is what makes the difference) death is NOT the end of you! Death is not your termination, it is your transition to eternity, so there are eternal consequences to everything you do on earth. Every act of our lives strikes some chords that will vibrate in eternity.

The only time most people think about eternity is at funerals, but forgets about it soon after. Only a fool would go through life unprepared for what we all know will eventually happen. You need to think more about eternity, not less.

Just as nine months you spent in your mother’s womb were not an end but in preparation for life, so this life is preparation for the next. Measured against eternity, our time on earth is just a blink of an eye, but the consequences of it will last forever.

Didn’t expect this to be so long, sorry guys.

So, here’s something to ponder about, am I PREPARED for eternity? If your answer is yes, good for you! =) If your answer is no, it’s all right! =) God’s waiting for you! You still have some time left, not a lot though. So don’t waste your time anymore, get ready for HEAVEN! =)

Strange Day..

i shall share about my day today. on Sunday, i was forced to leave the group early to complet a report that i need to pass up today. but it had taken much longer than i expected and in the end i finished it only at 1.30 am. i had it rough and i was proceeding to sleep but strangely i cannot sleep. only to realize that i didnt set my alarm clock. (that was no.1). then afther setting, i still cannot sleep.. at around 2 i realise i did not put any referencing in my report.(referencing is part of a report where you acknowledge other authors)(that was no.2). i had to craw out of bed, and turn on the computer again to correct that. due to the fact that i was already super tired and my eyes seemed to be really sensitive to the ligh, i finish the work at 2.30am. in the morning, i woke up really tired and groggy. but i manage to complete my discipleship quiet time. off i go to school. when the bus came, i sat down and snooze knowing that if i do that, i have a high chance of overshotting. but somehow i still manage to wake up at the right time(no.3). somehow, despite being really tired, God still mana to pull me through. and had a snooze earlier so feeling a bit better. hope to post more ;)
